I started learning about Bitcoin in 2021. Not because someone told me to, but because I kept hitting the same wall: every resource was either too shallow or too technical. None of them answered the questions I actually had as someone working in the Swiss crypto industry.

So I started writing down what I learned. Each chapter began as a question — what are Runes? How does Bitcoin Script work? What does an inscription transaction actually look like? I used AI to help me research and draft the text, then verified every answer against the Bitcoin source code, the whitepaper, and independent blogs. Over five years those notes became this book.

Everything in this book is verified against the Bitcoin whitepaper, BIP proposals, and Bitcoin Core documentation. Where I reference statistics, they come from public data sources. Where I give guidance on taxes, custody, or inheritance, I've checked it against Swiss regulations and current industry practice.

This isn't a book about why you should buy Bitcoin. It's a book about how Bitcoin works — so you can make your own decisions with real understanding.
