Pocket App AG runs the service from Industriestrasse 33, 5242 Lupfig, and links its entry in the Aargau commercial register from its legal disclosures page. The same page states that Pocket App AG is a member of the VQF self-regulatory organisation for anti-money-laundering duties. That makes Pocket an SRO member without a bank licence. The page calls Pocket "a non-custodial bitcoin-only platform".

You pay with a plain bank transfer in CHF. You connect a wallet once, and Pocket exchanges every transfer that lands and pays it out to that wallet, as the Pocket home page describes; its sample order shows a CH IBAN as the payment target. Set up a standing order at your own bank and you have a monthly plan. The home page also offers instant payments for faster delivery. It does not mention card, Apple Pay or TWINT.

The fees FAQ, read on 4 October 2026, sets a 1.5% service fee with no spread on top, priced from the Kraken rate at execution. The same FAQ says Pocket batches payouts, so the bitcoin network fee averages around 500 to 1,000 satoshis per payout. The home page adds "no fixed minimum fee", so a small transfer pays the same rate as a large one.

For tax, the home page says you can export your transactions "for tax purposes". The coins then sit in your own wallet, so you report the year-end value yourself in the wealth tax section of your return; the Swiss Bitcoin tax guide covers how.

Who it is for

Swiss residents who want the dullest savings plan they can get: a standing order from their existing bank and bitcoin landing in a hardware wallet, with no exchange account to watch. The home page shows a payout going to a BitBox02, and the same page lets you connect an existing wallet or set up a new one. The dollar-cost averaging guide explains why a fixed CHF amount per month works for most people.

It also suits you if you want one flat fee and no spread to decode. At 1.5% under the fees FAQ, read on 4 October 2026, you see the cost of each buy before you send the money.

Who it is not for

People who want to pay by card or TWINT. The home page describes bank transfers only.

Buyers who pick on the headline fee. The 1.5% service fee in the fees FAQ, read on 4 October 2026, sits above the 1.0% Relai charges by bank transfer under its pricing policy of the same date; the buying guide compares the routes.

Anyone who wants a custodian or a trading screen. Pocket holds nothing and sells only bitcoin. If you have no wallet yet, read the self-custody guide before you set up the first order.
