Swiss angle
Swiss Bitcoin Pay is a Swiss company. The Zefix commercial register lists Swiss Bitcoin Pay Sàrl with UID CHE-433.606.571 and its seat in Neuchâtel, and the Google Play listing, read on 4 October 2026, gives the developer address as faubourg du Lac 2, 2000 Neuchâtel.
We could not read its supervisory status from the provider's own pages on 4 October 2026, so the fact box shows "unknown". Ask the company directly if that matters for your business.
The merchant keeps the coins. The app repository on GitHub describes the service as non-custodial, with a free daily auto-withdraw to your own wallet and an optional conversion to fiat. The Play listing says you type the amount in your local currency, the customer scans a QR code or taps a Lightning NFC card, and the payment arrives on-chain or over Lightning on the same screen.
You can serve customers in the Swiss languages. The GitHub repository lists English, French, German and Italian among the app languages, and the API documentation lists the same four among the invoice languages. A shop in Lausanne, Zurich or Lugano can answer each customer in their own language.
For the tax side of taking bitcoin in a business, the Swiss Bitcoin tax guide covers how you value holdings at year end, and Bitcoin and Swiss VAT covers the sale itself.
Who it is for
Shops, cafés and market stalls in Switzerland that want to accept bitcoin on a phone or tablet with no extra hardware. The Play listing names that as the use case.
Merchants who want the money in their own wallet, not with a payment provider. The app translations say payouts to your wallet run by default on the 1st of each month once the balance reaches 1,000 sats.
Businesses with several staff. The GitHub repository lists support for multiple employees.
Shops that want customers to find them. Once you accept bitcoin, add your shop to BTC Map Switzerland, the map of places that take bitcoin.
Who it is not for
Merchants who need the fees in writing before they sign up. The pricing page did not load for us on 4 October 2026, so this page quotes no fee. Read it yourself first.
Businesses that want a provider with a confirmed supervisory status on file, for the reason in the Swiss angle above.
Private users. Swiss Bitcoin Pay is a checkout tool for businesses; for a personal wallet see the self-custody guide.
