Swiss angle

AMINA Bank AG appears as a bank, seated in Zug, on the FINMA list of authorised banks and securities firms, read on 5 October 2026, so this is a FINMA-licensed bank and not an anti-money-laundering intermediary. The AMINA home page calls it "a Swiss bank, authorized and regulated by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA)" and mentions a branch in Abu Dhabi regulated by the local FSRA. The about page says it "received a Swiss banking and securities dealer license in 2019". The contact page gives the address as Kolinplatz 15, 6300 Zug.

Older guides and some software projects still call it SEBA Bank. Same bank, new name: seba.swiss now forwards to aminagroup.com (checked on 5 October 2026).

Custody stays inside the bank. The custody page, read on 5 October 2026, says its service keeps "full segregation of your crypto assets under Swiss Federal Law". The Silver package pricing schedule, linked from the legal notices page and read on 5 October 2026, lists:

  • no package fee, and free fiat accounts in CHF, USD, EUR, GBP, HKD and AED
  • digital custody at 0.60% a year, charged quarterly on the average value
  • crypto trading fees "On request"
  • free deposits, and CHF 200 for each withdrawal from AMINA to an outside wallet
  • CHF 100 to set up a cold wallet, and CHF 500 to close the account

The same schedule says prices exclude VAT and that coins can only go out to "a wallet under the control of the client".

For tax, bitcoin at AMINA is a bank-held position. You still declare its year-end value in the wealth tax section of your return; the Swiss Bitcoin tax guide explains the ESTV year-end rate.

Who it is for

Swiss residents who want bitcoin and a CHF account at the same bank, and who would rather have a bank hold the keys than run a wallet.

Holders of a position large enough that a percentage custody fee is the main cost. On the Silver schedule, 0.60% a year on CHF 50,000 of bitcoin comes to CHF 300.

People who want an exit to their own wallet now and then. Withdrawals are allowed to a wallet you control, at CHF 200 each on the same schedule.

Who it is not for

Small monthly savers. A CHF 200 fee per withdrawal and a trading fee you must ask for make a CHF 100 monthly plan hard to price. The dollar-cost averaging chapter shows how fixed costs weigh on small buys. For that kind of plan, look at Relai, Pocket Bitcoin or Yuh.

Anyone who wants to hold their own keys from the first day. The self-custody guide covers that route.

Bitcoin-only savers. AMINA sells a full bank around crypto: staking, lending, securities trading and payments in several currencies.
